“Are My Leggings See-Through?” A Squat-Proof Checklist for Every Body and Budget
It’s a fear every woman who wears leggings knows. That split-second thought in the middle of a weights class or yoga flow: “Are my leggings see-through?”

You’re trying to focus on your form, but half your mind is worrying if the person on the mat behind you is getting an unwanted show. It’s a confidence-killer, and it can completely derail your workout.

This worry is exactly why “squat-proof” has become a non-negotiable feature for activewear. But what does it actually mean, and how can you shop with confidence? As a brand obsessed with value and quality, we believe you should be able to trust your gear.

Here is our simple checklist for finding leggings that let you bend, stretch, and squat with total peace of mind.

Your 4-Point Squat-Proof Checklist
1. Fabric Quality is Everything The single most important factor in opacity is the quality of the fabric. We’re not just talking about the material (like polyester or nylon) but its density and knit. Thinner, cheaper fabrics may feel soft on the hanger, but they have very little structure to hold when stretched, which is what causes them to go sheer. Look for leggings described with terms like “premium fabrics” and “durable quality,” as this indicates a denser, more robust knit designed to provide coverage during movement.

2. The Right Fit is Non-Negotiable It sounds simple, but this is the most common pitfall. You can buy the most expensive, high-quality leggings in the world, but if they are too small, they will go see-through. When fabric is over-stretched beyond its limits, the fibres pull apart, and transparency is inevitable. Always check a brand’s size guide, and if you are between sizes, consider sizing up. Your leggings should feel secure, but not uncomfortably restrictive.

3. Darker Colours & Patterns Are More Forgiving This is a straightforward tip: darker colours and busy patterns are naturally better at concealing what’s underneath. A pair of classic black or navy leggings, or a vibrant pattern, will almost always offer more visual security than a light, solid-colour pair (like white, beige, or pale pink). This doesn’t mean you have to live in dark colours, but it does mean a light-coloured pair needs to be made from an exceptionally high-density fabric to pass the squat test.

4. Always Do the ‘At-Home’ Squat Test Changing room lighting can be deceiving. The best way to know for sure is to test your new leggings at home in bright, natural light. Put them on, stand with your back to a mirror, and perform a deep squat or bend over (like a deadlift). This is the only way to know for sure if you’ve found a winner.

Built for Confidence, Priced for Real Life
We know that trust is essential when it comes to activewear. Your workout should be a time to feel strong and focused, not self-conscious.

That’s why our Leggings are crafted using premium, moisture-wicking fabrics designed for performance, comfort, and, most importantly, coverage. We design our pieces to give you a “second-skin” feel that moves with you, so you can focus on your form, not your fabric.

The same principle applies to our Gym Sets. By combining our performance leggings with supportive, flattering tops, you get a complete, coordinated look that is built to perform, giving you one less thing to worry about.

We believe in “affordable quality” —crafting durable, comfortable, and reliable pieces without the elaborate packaging or designer price tag. True value is buying a pair of leggings you can wear and wash time and time again, knowing they will not let you down.

Go on, get that new squat PB. We’ve got you covered.
